Mohammed Matazu BAKO

Mohammed Matazu Bako is a Lecturer at Department of Meteorology, Muhammadu Buhari Meteorological Institute of Science and Technology Katsina, Katsina State, Nigeria. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics in Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto in 2015; he went for NYSC in Kaduna State in 2016. He later obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Education at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 2017. Upon completion of the PGDE programme; Mr. Matazu proceeds to further his education in Master of Science in Physics at ABU Zaria in 2022. Mr. Matazu is a seasoned Aeronautical Meteorological Observer and Forecaster who attended several National and International Workshops, Trainings and Conferences on Meteorology and Climate Change. Mr. Matazu as he is passionate about Meteorology career, he also proceeds to Kaduna State University to further his education on Meteorology where he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Meteorology and Climate Change Studies in the year 2019, he also attended Fundamental Meteorological Course for Meteorologist at Muhammadu Buhari Meteorological Institute of Science and Technology Katsina in the year 2020 where he received WMO graduate Diploma certificate for Class1. He is both diligent in his teaching work practice and committed to the Profession. He joined the service in 2017 after three (3) years of serving as a voluntary teacher in some secondary and tertiary Institutions with a large and well – respected corporate teaching firm.

He teaches Thermal Physics, Marine Meteorology and Hydro Meteorology, Dynamic Meteorology and Atmospheric Thermodynamics. His works in these fields are evident in the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG) conference authored and co-authored and unpublished article in the field of soil physics. He is a Member of Nigerian Meteorological Society (NMets), Member of Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG) and also a Member of Association of Meteorological Professionals of Nigeria (AMPON). He attends several workshops, conferences and trainings of World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
