Mohammed Aliyu is a lecturer at General Studies Department, Alqalam University Katsina and Adjunct Lecturer at MBMIST Katsina. He obtained Masters in Environmental Management and postgraduate Diploma Environmental Management from Bayero University Kano. He also obtained Higher National Diploma in Agricultural Extension and Management (at Distinction level) and National Diploma in Agricultural Technology (at upper credit) from Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic. He attended various short courses that boosted his capacity to teach various courses in general studies.

He teaches Environmental and Disaster Management, Peace and Conflict Resolution, Environmental pollution, Waste Management, Citizenship Education and Entrepreneurship Development related courses.
